"I do" in Savannah | Charlotte photographer | Jaimi Laine Photography

If you ever get the chance to walk around the quiet streets of Historic Savannah, do it. One of my favorite things about traveling for weddings is the time I have to explore. In Savannah, I went for a walk in the rain, looking around the area where Linda and Ant's wedding would take place the next day. I found some of the most beautiful alley ways, parks, buildings and can I just say, everything is so incredible. I could photograph there for days! I wondered to a little tavern, and had pretty much the most amazing peach cobbler I have ever had, and made my plan for the next day!

The next day I pulled up at the family home, which may be the most beautiful home I've ever been at, set on a beautiful stretch of land right on the Wilmington River. It was the perfect place for Linda and Ant to get ready, with family and friends all nearby. Popping in from time to time. They choose a first look (which is always my favorite, because the bride and groom get to spend more time together on their wedding day, and have an intimate moment together without everyone watching), which they did behind the house, and can we all just agree, they were sizzling hot! My god! <3

Anyhow, the ceremony was in Forsyth Park, which is a beautiful historic park, with a stunning walkway covered by trees. I absolutely loved that Linda and Ant walked together down the aisle/up to the ceremony...they walked towards their future, together. They stood in front of the fountains and were married by Ant's best friend, Walter, a man he grew up with, and who could not have been more proud to bring them together in marriage.

Their ceremony was short and sweet. It was exactly the way they wanted it. Afterwards we had the opportunity to walk around the streets I had scoped out the night before and take some gorgeous photos, because honestly, these two are crazy photogenic! Afterwards, it was off to Current Kitchen & Cocktails , the most amazing restaurant. The restaurant is family owned, and seriously a place I will be visiting again, because if we are being honest, I have never...ever tasted food this good before. If you go to Savannah, don't leave without eating there! Anyhow, dinner, family, friends, live music and the cutest cake cutting...and that, that is just a little taste of Ant & Linda's wedding day! Take a look <3
